Green Sky Thinking about London on Linked In

The long awaited and fraught regeneration of King's Cross features several tall office buildings between conserved heritage landmarks, while the local high streets, Euston Road Pentonville Road and even Caledonian Road have degenerated into motorways. The boroughs of Camden and Islington have a Place Shaping Plan, but the Mayor's TfL insists on 'Smoothing Traffic Flow' rather than enabling liveability and the Pedestrian Pound to keep the economy moving. The new Kings Cross Station Square, a potential town centre for the international railway station area, is cut off like Trafalgar Square in the 70s, but community spirit and creative architecture are popping up in places like at 23 Euston Road, 11 Caledonian Road and York Way.
