Living Streets Annual Supporters Conference

Among many things discussed at the Supporter Conference at Coin Street on Saturday 11 June was how to work more effectively with local authorities.

We heard that close collaboration between local groups and their elected councils and officers had led to 20mph local streets being achieved and even agreed to be policed by Safer Neighbourhoods officers.

Transport guidance now allows 20mph zones without the expense of speed humps, and new Living Streets guidance on Crossing the Road was launched.
